Algı ABA Therapy Center specializes in treating children with Autism, Asperger’s, and other Developmental Delays. In our center-based setting, we utilize methods based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which has been shown through research to be highly effective for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder’s (ASD). Our services include teaching verbal behavior, social skills, independent living skills, and problem-behavior reduction.
Our Founder
Parin Yakupyan, Founder Algı Special Education Institutions
Parin Yakupyan was born in Istanbul. She graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Finance. Between 1988 and 2005, she worked as a manager in the finance and accounting departments of the textile sector. Her twin babies, born in 2000, opened the doors of a whole new World.
One of her twins was diagnosed with autism in 2002. After a period of bewilderment and rejection, she realized that there was much to be done, and he reconsidered his entire professional and social life. 5 years after receiving the diagnosis, Parin Yakupyan and her husband Dr. Garbis Yakupyan established Algı Special Education Institutions.
She is currently the director of this center. She attends various trainings, seminars, and congresses to provide the most accurate information to all families who come to the center and meet with her. She received training on ABA applications from ABA Specialist Nicola Stanley from England. Finally, he attended 40-hour training seminars consisting of 5 modules given by ABA Specialist Nükte Altıkulaç and was entitled to receive the ABA therapy training certificate. Since 2002, she believes that the greatest development of children is achieved through early diagnosis and intensive.
What is Autism?
Autism is usually diagnosed in the first few years of life and affects a person’s social interaction, communication, and understanding of ideas and emotions.
Signs of autism usually appear by age 2 or 3. Some associated development delays can appear even earlier, and often, it can be diagnosed as early as 18 months. Research shows that early intervention leads to positive outcomes later in life for people with autism.
